12A/ 12

Same criteria is used for both., the 12A classification is only used in cinemas, no one younger then 12 may see a 12A film unless accompanied with a adult, and 12A aren't recommended for anyone under 12 however a adult may take a under 12 if in their judgement the film is suitable for that child.
The 12 classification is only used for video works, no one under 12 is aloud to buy/rent a 12 DVD.

Aggressive discriminatory language is unlikely to be acceptable unless clearly condemned.
Any use of drugs must be infrequent.
Moderate physical and psychological threat may be permitted providing disturbing sequences are infrequent .
Dangerous behaviour should not dwell on detail so could not be copied and appear pain or harm free.
Moderate language aloud
Nudity aloud but not in sexual context
Sexual activity must be brief
mature themes acceptable
